Brooklyn, New York is the home of the American Professional Basketball team; the Brooklyn Nets. They play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the NBA. They are one of two teams that represent New York City against their neighboring rivals; the New York Knicks. The Brooklyn Nets were established in 1967 and won 2 American Basketball Association Championships before merging with the NBA in 1976. Barclays Center, is home to the Brooklyn Nets in the New York City borough of Brooklyn.

Barclays Center is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is also home to the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. A 10 foot wide and 70 foot tall mural entitled Diary of Brooklyn by painter Jose Parla is featured on the walls of the arena. Throughout the year this venue hosts countless conventions, entertainment events, and many other sporting events; such as Martial Arts, Gymnastics and Professional Wrestling events. The first major event ever held there was a Jay-Z concert on September 28, 2012.

New York has one of the best food scenes in the world, but is known for its Pizza. Must go’s include Grimaldi’s, Di Fara’s, Roberta’s, Paulie Gee’s, L&B Spumoni Gardens and Lucali’s.
